CIA/Ruling on Revealing Sources
PETER JENNINGS: There was a major legal victory today
for the Central Intelligence Agency. The Supreme Court has
decided that the CIA does have sweeping power to keep its
intelligence sources secret. The High Court overturned a ruling
that could have forced the agency to reveal the details of a
controversial program which involved experimenting on people with
drugs during the 1950s and '60s.
