CIA Study/U.S. Submarine Vulnerability
KATE DORDEN: The Pentagon confirms that the CIA is
working on a study of U.S. submarine vulnerability -- that is,
vulnerability to the Soviets, who may have some important secrets
about the U.S. fleet. The CIA study apparently was begun before
the latest Walker family spy case in which four men, all of them
with Navy backgrounds and most of them related, are accused of
selling secrets to the Soviets.
