Dear Mr. Reeves:
Thank you for your letter of March 30th. Your proposal to
spend a week with a CIA officer stationed overseas is certainly
imaginative and intriguing--but unfortunately one which we must
turn down. There Just are no conditions or agreement which would
permit such an arrangement.
However, I am delighted by your interest in doing an article
about some aspect of the CIA and would like very much to talk
with you in person to see if we can't come up with some workable
idea. Perhaps the next time you plan a trip to Washington you
could save some time so that we can kick some ideas around.
Give me a call if you think this is worthwhile and we will,
work out a date.
