government today announced it
has removed from newsstands
the May 23 issue of Time maga-
zinc bCCausC it has an article
advocating a coalition govern-
nlent with the Communists.
The issue had been on the
stands for at least three daysI
before the government decided
to ban it. Sales in Amerison
,post exchanges were' not at-
fected.
A government spokesman
said the move was "for politi-
cal reasons ... for advocating
a coalition government which
is not acceptable to the South
Vietnamese government a'n d
harmful to the national security
and the fighting spirit of ..the
