Washington, D.C.
:Dear Mr. Helms:
We write UNDER TWENTY, an editorial teenage package the
largest of its kind, reaching over 250 newspapers throughout
the country and syndicated by Columbia Features, Inc.
In the UNDER TWENTY teenage package is a column called,
"Question-Airs." For "Question-Airs" we ask the teenage
newspaper reader to direct a question of interest, to be
answered by a prominent citizen of our country. The young
person whose letter is selected and answered receives the
original of the letter and a set of encyclopedias.
Ohio:
Following is a letter from
I am very seriously interested in becoming
a member of the Central Intelligence Agency,
when I graduate from high school.
Would you please ask Mr. Richard Helms, Director
of the CIA, what type of education or background
is necessary also what the requirements are and
if there is an age limit to work for the CIA.
I'm interested in the profession because I would
be serving my country which is very important to
me. I would greatly appreciate any advice you
could give me. Thank you.
Please write to care of us at UNDER TWENTY.
We will publish your answer in our column. The ideal length
of the answer would be 200-300 words, with a personal word
of encouragement to
