Thank you again for your letter of October 28 requesting
a speaker from the Central Intelligence Agency for your
December meeting. This will confirm the regrets I expressed
by phone to a member of your office staff to the effect
that unfortunately we will not he able to provide a speaker
for your December meeting.
The Agency does indeed want to do more in providing
information to the public on our history and mission as
you request, and to that end we will keep your interest
in mind. Should one of our speakers be scheduled for a
visit to your area we will let you know well in advance in
the event you wish to schedule a talk at some mutually
convenient future date.
