The Naval Underwater Systems Center, New London Laboratory is hosting
a "New England Security Seminar" on 5 and 6 October 1976. It is
our intention that this seminar provide attendees with an update
of the Information Security Program with emphasis on classification
management. This seminar is receiving the support of the Board of
Directors of the National Classification Management Society, and
it has been approved by the Director of Naval Intelligence for the
Chief of Naval Operations.
Personnel from the Laboratory directly connected with the Information
Security Program, government and industry representatives of N
military personnel in all the services in the area and defense
contractors in the New England region will be invited to attend.
We would appreciate it if you could address the seminar at the
luncheon on 6 October on the subject of the impact of the Freedom
of Information and Privacy Acts on an intelligence agency. This
presentation can be along the same lines as the one you gave at the
NCMS Seminar in San Diego on.21 July. We could adjust our program
if 5 October would be a more convenient date for you.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Program
Chairman, Miss Clarissa DeAngelis on Area Code 203-442-0771, Ext.
2880 or Autovon 636-2880.
An early reply will be appreciated.
Sincerely yours,
