Back in June the Board of Governors of the-Overseas Press
Club adopted the attached resolution. Through an oversight it was not
forwarded to you.
However, on June 26 the New York Times carried an article
which said you had told representatives of the National News Council
that the CIA Would no longer hire foreign correspondents as agents of
the CIA. There seems to be some question among our members as to
whether this decision has been implimented. I trust it has but
would appreciate confirmation from you.
