We are currently developing a feature film about General William J. Donovan
and the O.S.S. For historical accuracy, we would greatly appreciate your
help in obtaining the following information:
1. A copy or transcript of any farewell address Gen. Donovan
may have made to the members of the O.S.S. upon its
dissolution in 1945.
2. Any information pertaining to the role of the O.S.S. in
Italy. Especially valuable would be any humorous
anecdotes connected with that campaign.
3. Any information pertaining to the contribution made by
"Lucky" Luciano to help the O.S.S. in Sicily.
We would also appreciate any additional information you feel would be of
value to this project. I would like to add that the project, as it stands, is
very favorable to the Agency.
