We are hearing many comments about your talk yesterday.
You will recall that in your conversation with Admiral Turner
before your appearance you discussed his position vis-a-vis SALT.
Enclosed is some additional background which may be helpful. The
brief statement is one which we issued early on in response to
queries and can be used as a direct quote by Admiral Turner. The
other two sheets as you will see are from a question and answer
session following his talk before the Overseas Writers on 12 April.
