CHAPTER 4700 Jamestown Road Washington, D.G. 20016 June 29, 1977 Public Affairs Officer Central Intelligence Agency Washington, D.C. 20505 Dear Sir: This is to follow up our telephoned request for "An Evening at C.I.A." program 'of the Washington Professional Chapter, SDX, at your headquarters on S October 13, 1977. We would hope to start about 7:15 p.m. with a briefing by C.I.A. spokesmen and with whatever. may be available by way of a guided tour, followed by a not-too-extended Q. & A. period. Unless you have suggestions to the contrary, the program should be completed by 8:45 p.m., to 9 p.m. While the chapter has more than 450 membars, in this busy.city we seldom have more than 150 at one meeting. Our record for 1977 so far is 250 an y for a Q. & A. with Jody Powell, White House Press Sec- retary. We ought to be able to give you a fairly, accurate estimate at :Least two or three days ahead, and can provide whatever identification you require. For the White House, as you know, it is name, affil- iation and social security number. If feasible, we would like to have coffee and cookies available for a short social period after' the program, and reimburse the agency for the expense. If a diagram of directions would help, please send one and we will reproduce it and send to our members. Sincerely, ames roe t PrAc,-i tgs?nP Approved For Release 2006/11/30: CIA-RDP88-01315R000400440009-4
