Ballantine recently released an original
title dealing with energy crises coupled
to what some scientists see as the ap-
proach of a new ice age. "The Weather
Conspiracy: The Coming of the New
Ice Age" (S 1.95) by The Impact Team
features two complete declassified re-
ports from the CIA on the weather and
its effects on America and the world.
The Impact Team, a London-based in-
vestigative group, suggests that the
world, after enjoying 40 years of abnor-
mally benign weather, is returning to its
usual weather pattern, which will in-
clude the ice age.
