SUBJECT: Your Attendance at the Conference on
Semantics of Disinformation
1. Action and Information Requested: This memo asks for
confirmation of your intention to attend the disinformation
conference and to introduce the keynote speaker. Also needed are
the names of persons you have invited or intend to invite to
observe the conference.
2. The keynote address is scheduled after an opening
reception and dinner at Airlie House on the evening of 25 June
(see attached agenda). It seems appropriate, as was suggested
when Jeane Kirkpatrick was under consideration, that you
introduce the keynoter. You also may want to attend the final
session at 1515 hours on 27 June, which is intended to summarize
the main findings of the conference.
3. Your secretary has been apprised of these events and has
tentatively reserved the time on your calendar.

4. As Airlie House asks for a list of guests two weeks in
advance of a conference, we need to complete such a list as soon
as possible. We are allowed a maximum of
and are close to that limit now (see attached list),
with several acceptances still pending -- plus a waiting list.
As soon as you let me know whom you would add to it, I will
complete the list.
