I thought the memorandum on the Warsaw
Pact estimate was well done. Here are some
suggestions for further work:
1. Elaboration of the statement that
the Soviet view the offensive as a decisive
form of combat.
2. Analyze the Soviet view of the
relative value of attrition vs. maneuver,
and evaluate the conventional weaponry and
the conventional balance of forces as they
relate to the possibility that both forces
will use one or the other of these tactical
approaches.
