MEMORANDUM FOR: Deputy Director of Central Intelligence
FROM: Director of Central Intelligence
1. At the NSC today, the President authorized Jeane Kirkpatrick to
introduce a resolution at the United Nations condemning the Polish Government
and the Soviet Union for violating human rights and waging war against the
Polish populace.
2. It will be necessary to have evidence to back this up. "Evidence"
is a loose word in the UN but we want to put together as strong a case as we
can. How much of what we gave to Eagleburger could we possibly use in that
forum and what other argumentation can be developed?
