OE F 1325.8 -79) Approved For Release 2010/08/16: CIA-RDP88B00786R000100040020-8 U.S. DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY DATE. SEP - 3 !9,31r [PLY TO kTTN OF DP-40 memorandum ;OBJECT DOE Representation on COMIREX Subcommittee TO Chairman, COMIREX 1. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we are temporarily without sufficient staff to provide adequate representation on the COMIREX Subcommittee/Working Groups including OPSCOM and SRWG. We are about to advertise for replacement personnel but that process may take a number of months. Meanwhile, we ask your indulgence. I can assure you the problem is not lack of interest but lack of trained and knowledgeable staff personnel. I would appreciate it if you would pass this on to your staff. Should problems arise that affect DOE requirements, I am always available (252-5174; secure (KY71): 252-8718, ID# 00708) to work the issue. 2. During this period of staff shortages we will also be without anyone who is CAMS qualified. Therefore, we must ask for your help in processing our requirements. I propose to send you a memo or just call the site as needs arise. This is the same method we used several years ago when we were in a similar situation. We regret this inconvenience and hope that it will be as short as our personnel system can make it. Stephen E. Bacher DOE Member to COMIREX Approved For Release 2010/08/16: CIA-RDP88B00786R000100040020-8
