1. We have reviewed all committees in the Office of Logistics
(OL) and provide the following summary for your information.
There are 12 active committees or boards in OL. Most of
the committees are providing an ongoing function and are needed
to support the Agency's missions:
(1) Agency Contract Review Board: Review Agency
contractual actions over $500,000.
(2) Foreign Ownership Control and Influence (FOCI)
Board: Determine the eligibility of contractors under FOCI.
(3) Headquarters Technical Advisory Group: Composed
of representatives from OL, OS, and OIT who provide input
on planning the new building.
(4) Headquarters Traffic Advisory Committee: Chaired
by Chief, New Building Project Office, OL with representa-
tives from the community who discuss issues on transporta-
tion as it affects the Headquarters compound.
(5) OL Furniture Committee: Establish a standard
selection of modular office furniture to replace metal
furniture and meet word/data processing needs.

(6) Logistics Officer Training Program Committee:
Develop a professional training program in OL for both white
and blue collar employees.
(7) Ad Hoc Committee for CT Training: Determine OL
curriculum for career trainees.
(8) Headquarters Claims Review Board: Review and
approve claims for lost or damage to personal property of
Agency employees.
(9) Headquarters Survey Review Board: Same board as #8
but reviews the lost, damaged or destruction of government
property to determine negligence and liability.
(10) Headquarters Management Board (HMB): Responsible
for enforcing configuration management policy and directing
the configuration management effort.
(11) Facilities Management Board: Responsible for
configuration management or facilities systems and
configuration delegated by the HMB.
(12) Architect and Engineering Selection Panel:
Responsible for selecting A&E firms vying for projects in
the Agency.
2. Two OL committees have been
recently disbanded:
the
Building Planning Committee and the
Out-Put Media Working
Group.
Additionally, we are disbanding the
OL Logistics Officer
Training
Committee and the Ad Hoc Committee
for CT Training. With
this
action, four committees will be eliminated in OL.
