Dear Mr. Becker:
Your letter of 5 March 1985 to Mr. John McMahon, Deputy
Director of Central Intelligence, has been referred to the
Office of Security for appropriate action.
We have reviewed the video taped presentations and product
data information pertaining to the EyeDentification System 7.5,
and find that the Central Intelligence Agency has no current
requirement for a system with these particular specifications.
If an application for a system of this type were to be
identified, the necessary competitive procurement process would
be initiated by CIA's Office of Logistics. Accordingly, the
product literature and video tapes, which you furnished, are
being returned herewith.
On behalf of Mr. McMahon, I would like to express our
appreciation for your interest and commitment to the protection
of national security information and assets.
