I would like to call your attention to Empire Airways, an Idaho air
transportation firm which conducts a wide variety of special air missions
for the federal government and the U.S. military. Empire Airways operates a
wide range of passenger and cargo equipment, and is capable of conducting
conventional as well as highly specialized passenger and cargo air
operations.
Empire is an experienced large aircraft contractor to the U.S. Forest
Service, Bureau of Land Management and other agencies. The company also
provided air logistics support to the U.S. Army for "Operation Island
Breeze" during the Grenada operation using its versatile DeHavilland DHC-6
turboprop aircraft.
Specifically, Empire Airways is prepared to provide the following
services, among others, on very short notice, and on a discreet and
efficient basis:
-Aerial reconnaissance, including para-cargo, photographic and
surveillance flights using specialized aircraft such as the DHC-6-300,
Convair 580, or other equipment appropriate to the mission.
-Passenger carrying service on a scheduled or non-scheduled basis.
-Air cargo/airlift services involving operations on unimproved and/or
short field landing facilities utilizing Short Takeoff and Landing (STOL)
aircraft.
Empire Airways provided prompt, discreet and highly efficient service
in support of the American victory in Grenada and stands ready to be called
into service again as the need arises.
In summary, any type of conventional or unconventional air mission in
any part of the world is within the capability of Empire Airways. In nearly
a decade of contract services to the U.S. Government, Empire Airways'
operating slogan has been: "Any aircraft, Any place, Anytime."
