1. Discussions with GSA on the subject continue. The
Chief, Headquarters Security Group, met with GSA officials again
on b February 1985. The position of GSA in regard to additional
costs for Federal Protective Officers appears to have changed
significantly in favor of the Agency. GSA now appears willing
to drop any claim against SLUC money previously returned to the
Agency and demands for overtime payments appear more reasonable.
2. This entire subject seems to have lost the attention
of Mr. James G. Whitlock, GSA Assistant Regional Administrator,
Public Buildings and Real Property, and will now likely be
settled through normal channels within 2 weeks. Your office
will be kept advised of further developments.
