MEMORANDUM FOR THE ECONOMIC POLICY COUNCIL

SUBJECT: Agenda and Paper for the March 24 Meeting
The agenda and paper for the March 24 meeting of the
Economic Policy Council are attached. The meeting is scheduled
for 1:00 p.m. in the Roosevelt Room.
The single agenda item is a discussion of our Japan trade
policy. The Trade Policy Review Group (TPRG) has attempted to
evaluate our trade policy with Japan from as wide a perspective
as possible, suggesting specific trade policy objectives, and
offering some policy recommendations. A paper prepared by the
TPRG is attached.
