SUBJECT: Impact of Proposed Applicant Processing Center
on the Office of Medical Services
REFERENCE: Memo for ADDA fm DD/OMS, dtd 17 December 1986, Same Subject
1. I appreciate the office of medical Services' (OMS) concerns relative
to the management structure of the proposed Applicant Processing Center as
stated in paragraph 2 through 7 of reference. In reviewing the possibilities,
please b' assured that all facets of line relationships will be considered
prior to a final determination of the organizational and managerial structure
of the Center. We will explore, among other things, the EUCA model as well as
the models.
2. With the above in mind, it is requested that OMS defer
reorganizational plans as stated in paragraphs 7 and 8 of reference until a
more definitive Center development plan has been finalized.
3. The resource impacts upon OMS as reflected in paragraph 11 of
reference have been passed to the DDA Management Staff.
