Anderson Assistant Comptroller General General Government Programs General Accounting Office Washington, D.C. 20548 In response to your letter of October 6, we have completed the attached questionnaire on waiver of erroneous payments. Although we have processed no requests for waiver under Public Law 99-224 through GAO since the effective date, we feel that the time and effort required to do so would seem to justify raising the present $500 limitation. The attached questionnaire is designed to obtain your agency's views on how a change in the limitation will impact on your agency's operations. Please complete the questionnaire and return it in the enclosed, self-addressed, postage-paid envelope within 10 days after you receive it. The questionnaire should take about 15 minutes to complete. If you have any questions, please call Ms. Shirley Bates or Mr. Chris Farley at (202) 275-3102. Thank you for your cooperation. Sincerely yours, William J.
