Preceding Week:
a. The preparation of the formal minutes resulting from the
14 April 1986 meeting of the Traffic Advisory Committee (TAC) is nearly
complete. The New Building Project Office (NBPO), OL, has fully
documented this most recent meeting of the TAC, which reviewed the
V 30-percent detailed engineering drawings of the Route 123 roadway
improvement project, and has forwarded all appropriate documentation,
except for the final version of the minutes, to the Director of Logistics
for his use in briefing the Deputy Director for Administration (DDA). The
final action resulting from this meeting of the TAC will be the
transmittal of a letter from the DDA to the Virginia Commissioner of the
Department of Highways and Transportation (VDH&T) asking that it, the
VDH&T, proceed with the detailed engineering design of the Route 123
roadway improvement project. The VDH&T has previously advised the NBPO
that it will not reinitiate its detailed engineering design without a
formal request from the Agency. This re t is consistent with our
