Progress Report of Tasks Assigned by the DCI/DDCI: No tasks assigned during this reporting period. 2. Items or Events of Major Interest that have Occurred During the Preceding Week: a. In support of the Communications Engineering Division/Network Systems Engineering Group/Office of Information Technology, the Automated Data Processing and Engineering Branch, Procurement 25X1 LJ/~ I Division, issued a modification to a contract with Xerox Special Information Systems providing incremental funding in the amount of $77,740. Under this contract, Xerox is working on the Computer Center Retermination phase of the Message Handling Facility development. b. The Automated Data Processing and Engineering Branch, Procurement Division, recently concluded negotiations with Systematics General Corporation, Sterling, Virginia. The resultant contract will exercise the government's first option year to provide on-site technical writer/editor services for the Information Systems Security Group/Office of Security. The Agency has realized a savings of $2,965 or approximately 3.6% from the contractor's proposal and the negotiated agreement. A contract is expected to be in place by c . and- Engi nee erg- I res, h .- ( - "F ju April 1986. - i Procurement Division,." s soliciting` 2i companies in a competitive procurement for systems integration support services for the COMIREX Automated Management Program. This program supports signal collection and analysis for the Intelligence Community. The estimated dollar value of this procurement d contract award will be 25X1 1 October 1986. A firm fixed price (level of effort) contract was awarded to Kerr-Small Associates in the amount of $102,534 to provide telecommunication services in support of the New Building Communications project and the Office of Information Technology, Headquarters Facilities Communications Program. Kerr-Small Associates shall be required to submit a final report at the completion of the f. The Production and Services Contracts Branch, Procurement Division, has requested a proposal from a contractor to install a 25X1 monitoring system by 1 June 1986 in the new facility for the Polygraph Division, Office of Security. The contractor has indicated ~- that certain fire proofing requirements by the county building code authorities may increase his intended price by $20,000. These requirements are being verified, and at this time there is no 75X1 indication that the installation target date will be affected. Tha--Adm nistrative Products-and Services Section/Gener-al a ch,--Fri?rene rt ?B`ivisivn, received a priority request from the Executive Director's office on 11 A ri1 for five IBM 25X1 3270 Personal Computers (PC's) and peripheral items. By close of business the same day, all items had been ordered and the delivery was requested as soon as possible. The IBM PC's are to be shipped on 18 April ice, the Versitron convertor boxes are to be shipped on or before 2 May 1986, and the Syquest Disk Drives are to be shipped on or before 19 May 1986.
