Events of Major Interest That Have Occurred During the Preceding Week: a . T4e-ga i. 1, minutes. This has disrupted the courier schedule and has impacted on the ability to provide timely service. The OL Security Staff has been asked to intervene on our behalf ttwf ..r-t. , I-v1 Agency couriers entering the Treasury Building will have to possess Treasury Building badges or be processed as visitors. CIA courier credentials will no longer be honored for immediate admittance. A listing of 28 senior level couriers was provided to the Treasury Security Office, but a limit of nine was imposed. Courier runs are made twice daily, Monday through Friday, and once on Saturdays. Afterhour runs are frequently made to deliver cable traffic to the Treasury Watch Office. Couriers not possessing access badges must wait in line and be processed as visitors, which may take anywhere from 20 to 40 request additional badges from the Treasury Department. a.) 441 , b.0'~hase f ~4dt t e ounterterrorist Center (CTC) project, 2G corridor, scheduled for completion on 27 June 6-.r. was, in fact, completed on Satl,rday 21 Junes y placing the overall CTC project completion date 5 -tdays ahead of * ., /44 schedule. c. The reorganization of the Office of Central Reference, now known as the Office of Information Resources (OIR), has caused the renovatio n proj ect for the 2E60 and 2E6101 suite to be cancelled. The dra wings for this pro ject were 95 percent complete. OIR is expec ted to resubmit for a much less expensive renovation of the same suite. d. The gallery of framed photographs and signed l~ V comments of preside ,mot nder which the Agency has served has been temporarily removed`^f r~restorati.on. Progress Report of Tasks Assigned by the DCI/DDCI: No tasks assigned during this reporting period. 2. Items or Events of Major Interest that have Occurred During the Preceding Week: a. General Procurement Branch (GPB), Procurement Division, OL, has received a replenishment requisition from Supply Management Branch (SMB) for 50,000 WANG ribbons. This request has initiated an action by GPB to set up a Qualified Products List (QPL) for same or equal for this requirement and for any future requirements for these ribbons. GPB has sent letters to six companies requesting they send sample ribbons to test for performance. Ribbons must be compatible with WANG printers and must be readable by the OCRs in Cablesec. GPB, SMB, and Cablesec have agreed to test these ribbons to see which will be acceptable to put on the QPL. After the QPL is established, GPB will send out a Request for Proposal for this stock replenishment buy, c . On 20 June 1986, the Automated Data Processing and Engineering Branch, Procurement Division, OL, requested revised proposals from companies responding to Request for Proposal in support of the Counterterrorist Program. The solicitation provides for systems integration effort. Revised proposals are due on 27 June 1986.
