(1) On 14 July, two Data Control Branch (DCB) personnel
attended the first of the FY86 Year-End Processing Engineering
Review Board (ERB) meetings that are chaired by OIT. Other
attendees included personnel from OL/CONIF, OL/IMSS/TG, various
OF persons, as well as personnel from the various components of
OIT involved in the year-end process. Handed out at this
meeting and discussed, was a schedule of year-end processing
events as determined by the OF/GAS/DBM as well as a very
detailed document on the GAS/CONIF/ICS/FRS interface
procedures. The next ERB, tentatively set for 4 August, will
include a two hour detailed briefing on these interface
procedures by the programmers who support the different data
bases.
(2) I has begun writing the FARS Configuration
Control Board (CCB) charter. The System Development Plan (SDP)
for FARS is in draft form and is being circulated for comment.

(3) OTS, OC and OL re r ntatives met to discuss current
activities within the (new) project. This meeting will
open the door to OTS participation--and some of their
achievements in common areas of interest.

C. RECORDS MANAGEMENT
On 8 July, a representative from the Office of Information
Services met with the Chief, Procurement Division and his
representatives, AC/PMS/OL, C/PMS/DDS&T, DC/OD&E/CS and C/IMSS,
to discuss the information handling survey procedures. The
survey began in Procurement Division and will include OL/PMS,
DDS&T/PMS, and OD&E/CS.
