1. Progress Report Tasks Assigned by the DCI/DDCI:

2. Items or Events of Major Interest That Have Occurred
During the Preceding Week:
a. Real Property Reporting - On 1 July 1986, a meeting was
held between the Accounting Division, Office of Finance (OF), the
Plans and Policies Division, OF and the Real Estate and Construction
Division, Office of Logistics to discuss Agency procedures for real
property reporting. The representatives reviewed Government
Accounting Office (GAO) Regulations, the Agency's present system for
reporting real property, and made suggestions for improving the
same. It is the endeavor of those present at the meeting to
eliminate any unnecessary or duplicated reporting, by more precisely
defining the GAO requirements and the content of finished reports
which are forwarded to OF.
c. Office of Personnel, Washington, D.C. - Real Estate and
Construction Division, OL, is revising the drawings that were
produced by the contract architect for the temporary space for the

will vacate the space; that decision is expected the week of 7 July

SUBJECT: Real Estate and Construction Division Weekly Report for
the Period Ending 8 July 1986
e. Burns Guards at Ames Building - On 2 July 1986 a
meeting was held for the Logistics Administrative Officers by the
Real Estate and Construction Division, OL to discuss the Burns
Guards Post Orders for controlling the parking in Rosslyn. The
meeting resulted from recent problems and questions about the
Burns Guards' authorities and duties. Regret was expressed that
the Contracting Officer from the Office of Security was not
present to answer questions. Some changes in procedure for
employees who have forgotten their parking permit or access cards
for entrance through the parkin arms were recommended for the
Burns Guards' Post Orders.
