4. During the reporting period representatives from the Office of
Communications (OC) participated in
5. On 23 August the Office of Training and Education presented an
orientation program for 13 spouses of the new Career Trainee (CT) class.
Directorate overviews and briefings were presented along with briefings on
the services of the Family and Employee Liaison Office. A panel
o Agency spouses provided a wrap-up question and answer session. Initial
feedback indicates that the program was well received.
6. As part of the Current Security Issues program, the Chief, Security
Support Division spoke to the DDO/Evaluations and Plans Staff on security and
suitability issues, and the Deputy Chief, Polygraph Division briefed DDI/SOVA
on the Polygraph Program.
8. The Payroll Automated Inquiry Database System (PAIDS) was put into
production, automating a once manual Office of Finance function by providing
payroll information to technicians via data base access.
9. Central Travel Services (CTS) achieved a savings of $1,687,000 in the
third quarter of FY 1986 through the use of government discount fares for
domestic travel of Agency employees and applicants.
