Status of Tasks Assigned by Senior Management: No tasks pending. 2. Major Events That Have Occurred During the Preceding Week: a. CONIF Activity: (1) CONIF input 140 contracts and 56 amendments during this past week. Additionally, CONIF resources were focused on archiving all fiscal year 1983 settled contracts. K)O (2) A briefing was given to the Executive Officer/Procurement Executive, OL, on 14 November. (3) A GAS/CONIF Working Group meeting was held on 12 November. Problems associated with ICS commitments were discussed at the meeting. Additionally, problems with the GAS/ADD procedure in CONIF were discussed. b. Training: % (1) The Acting Chief, Procurement Management Staff (AC/PMS) STATt\1, met with for the purpose of reviewing his past, STAT STAT STAT present, and u ure raining work. A thorough review of the upcoming events was presented. (2) Four members of Procurement Division, OL, were identified on Friday, 14 November, to participate in the 16-26 November running of the Contract Process Course. All members will be part of the integrated training exercise presented as part of the course. (3)I lis attending the "Incentive Contracting Course" put on by the U.S. Navy during 17-21 November. (4) On 12 November,) )attended a 1-day seminar in Lanham, Maryland, on "Image and Self Projection for Professional Women." The seminar was given by Career Track of Boulder, Colorado. (5)I I CONIF, is taking the NOMAD Application and Development Course 17-19 November. NOMAD should enhance CONIF's reporting capability. Contract Officer Intern Program (COIP) STAT ` E+ J given a briefing on the COIP. STAT h STAT All STAT STAT d. Wine and Cheese Party: On 14 November, a wine and cheese party was held in Room 2C19 . Approximately 90 procurement officers attended the party and, from the response received, everyone had a good time. The AC/PMS gave an encapsulated briefing to all hands. This was a successful attempt at getting many of the decentralized teams together to meet many of the new personnel. e. Visitations: (1) The AC/PMS visited NPIC and OIA on 12 November. While at NPIC, he visited with the supply personnel and the contract team. (2) On 13 November, the AC/PMS met with Chief, Budget and Fiscal Branch, OL, to discuss budgetary matters. A waiver was granted for the participation of BASF in an unclassified procurement for the purchase of recording tapes. 3. Upcoming Events: a. Visitations: (1) The AC/PMS will be visiting the ORD contracting team during the upcoming week. (2) A representative from Sterling Institute will visit with to discuss progress on revisions to the Federal Acquisition Regulations contract clauses and training. upcoming impact of the Coopers and Lybrand report. b. Meeting: A meeting of all senior contracting officers has been planned for 25 November.
