1. (S/D) SIGNIFICANCE: A SOVIET PASSENGER SHIP IS AT A NICARAGUAN
PORT FACILITY.
2. (S/D) REMARKS: A PROBABLE SOVIET MIKHAIL KALININ-CLASS
PASSENGER SHIP IS BERTHED AT THE MAIN QUAY AT CORINTO PORT
FACILITIES. THE SHIP IS DRESSED IN FLAGS AND PENNANTS AFT.
THE FOUR STARBOARD LIFEBOATS ARE SWUNG OUT OVER THE SIDE
SUGGESTING A DRILL IS IN PROGRESS. AT LEAST SIX PEOPLE ARE ON
THE QUAY NEAR THE GANGWAY ENTRANCE. NO MILITARY ACTIVITY IS
OBSERVED.
