1. (S/D) SIGNIFICANCE: A PROBABLE FLOGGER G REGIMENT MAY BE
PREPARING TO DEPART.
2. (S/D) REMARKS: A PROBABLE FLOGGER G AIR SUPERIORITY REGIMENT
MAY BE PREPARING TO DEPART TALDY KURGAN AIRFIELD NORTHEAST.
THE REGIMENT MAY POSSIBLY DEPLOY TO MARY AIRFIELD NORTHEAST
APPROXIMATELY 850 NM WEST OF HERE, TO CONDUCT 25X1
AIR-TO-AIR MISSILE TRAINING. FORTY-TWO PROBABLE FLOGGER G,
(NOT ALL ON GRAPHIC) WITH WINGS IN THE FORWARD POSITION, ARE ON
THE PARALLEL TAXIWAYS AND END-CONNECTING LINKS AT THE NORTH END
OF THE AIRFIELD. FUEL TANKS HAVE EITHER BEEN UPLOADED ON THE
AIRCRAFT OR ARE NEARBY ON THE GROUND. APPROXIMATELY 30 SERVICE
VEHICLES ARE NEAR THE AIRCRAFT. THREE CUB AND ONE CURL, WHICH
WOULD PROBABLY SUPPORT THE DEPLOYMENT, ARE ALSO PRESENT.
(S/D) TALDY KURGAN AIRFIELD, WHICH SUPPORTS A FLOGGER G AIR
SUPERIORITY REGIMENT AND A FLOGGER D/J FIGHTER-BOMBER REGIMENT,
IS IN THE CENTRAL ASIAN MILITARY DISTRICT APPROXIMATELY 7 NM
NORTH-NORTHEAST OF TALDY KURGAN AND 65 NM WEST OF THE
USSR-CHINA BORDER.
