1. (S/D) SIGNIFICANCE: AN ARMS DELIVERY, PROBABLY FOR
TRANSSHIPMENT RAQ, IS IN PROGRESS.
2. (S/D) REMARKS: ARMS TRANSSHIPMENT ACTIVITY IS OBSERVED AT
TUWWAL PORT-FACILITY WHERE 19 MEDIUM TANKS AND 23 ANTIAIRCRAFT
HEAVY MACHINE GUNS (AAHMG) HAVE ARRIVED
SIXTY-ONE AAHMG ON FLATBED TRAILERS AND THE 19 MEDIUM TANKS ON
TRANSPORTERS ARE IN THE SOUTH QUAY HOLDING AREA. THIRTY-EIGHT
OF THE AAHMG WERE PROBABLY DELIVERED PREVIOUSLY.
(S/D) MOST OF THE MILITARY EQUIPMENT DELIVERED TO TUWWAL IS
TRANSSHIPPED TO IRAQ. TUWWAL PORT FACILITY, ON THE RED SEA
SOUTH OF JUDDAH, IS A MAJOR SAUDI ARABIAN PORT.
