1. (S/D) SIGNIFICANCE: THE AUXILIARY COMMUNICATIONS CENTER AND
ONE ASSOCIATED P DRIVE SATELLITE COMMUNICATIONS (SATCOM)
STATION HAVE BEEN REMOVED FROM REMBERTOW ARMY BKS 203, FURTHER
INDICATING A LESSENED SOVIET CONCERN OVER THE POLISH SITUATION.
2. (S/D) REMARKS: ONE SATCOM STATION AND ONE R-400/404 RADIO
RELAY DEL) STATION REMAIN DEPLOYED. AT LEAST ONE PARK
DRIVE SATCOM, SUPPORTING AN AUXILIARY COMMUNICATIONS CENTER,
HAS BEEN DEPLOYED HERE SINCE SEPTEMBER 1980. THE CONTINUED
PRESENCE OF ONE SATCOM STATION SUGGESTS THAT THE SOVIETS ARE
MAINTAINING.-A CAPABILITY FOR HIGH-LEVEL COMMUNICATIONS TO THE
WARSAW AREA. THIS ACTIVITY IS PROBABLY RELATED TO THE REMOVAL
OF THE SIGNAL EQUIPMENT FROM LEGNICA HQ SOV NGF 204
