SUBJECT: Ref Memorandum FTR dated 31 January Receipt of Telephone Call
from Congressman Frank Wolf's Office
1. With respect to the third question posed by Ms. Nancy Bruce, Senior
Aide to Congressman Frank Wolf (R. Va.), (availability of funding to build
an additional lane on I-495 Northbound), the Director of Logistics instructed
me to provide the following response:
Because of increased costs associated with the New Building and the
effects already being felt by the Gramm-Rudman-Hollings Bill, we will
not have sufficient funding available through FY 1987. We will request
$500,000 for this project in our 1988 budget submission to the Congress.
2. I will provide the essence of this response to Ms. Bruce at the next
available opportunity.
