SUBJECT: Proposed Revisions ofl Standardized
Differentials and Allowances (Jobs #259 and #260)
1. These proposed revisions of were initiated by
the Office of Personnel to update the policy regarding the payment of
temporary lodging allowances and the definition of noncommercial lodgings
to correspond with the Standardized Regulations (Government Civilians,
Foreign Areas). In addition, the service requirement for eligibility for
payment of a home service transfer allowance has been changed from six to
12 months, and a statement is included addressing the possible refund of
a home service transfer allowance.
