MMORANDUM FOR: Chairman, Committee on Imagery Collection and
Exploitation
VIA: Deputy Director for Administration
FROM:
Director of Training and Education
-SUBJECT: Increase in Requirement for CAMS P/S Training
REFERENCE: DCI-ICS-2265-86, dated 8 April 1986
1. Ill response to your request for additional CAMS courses
over the next 12 to 18 months, we propose a schedule for 11
runnings in FY 1987 ditional running for DIA in August
1986 (see attachment)
2. To meet this increased course schedule, additional
personnel will be required. Presently, we provide six scheduled
runnings of the CAMS course with two instructors and one
training assistant. Our estimate is that we will need another
instruct workshop assistant to meet the proposed
schedule.
3. We are in the process of hiring a part-time annuitant
who should be available by June 1986. We need his services and
expertise, however, for attendance at CAMS project contractor
meetings to keep abreast of system changes affecting the
training program, evaluation of CAMS course content to ensure
that course materials reflect the current operational CAMS
environment and user contact. He will have only limited
involvement in classroom teaching in his area of expertise to
help us in the classroom. We propose that COMIREX provide OTE
with two part-time personnel, one instructor and one workshop
assistant. The workshop assistant should be available during
each of the proposed 11 runnings in FY 1987. The instructor
should be available to serve in rotation with our two full-time
instructors. Both the instructor and workshop assistant must be
CAMS proficient. Not only would their involvement help us meet
the schedule demand but, more importantly, they would bring a
vital user perspective to the training.
