I recommend tha be granted an extension of full-time academic sponsorship at George Mason University for the 1988 spring session. CPAS has operating funds available to cover the estimated cost of $1,000 ($800. tuition; STAT $200 books) plus paid salary (32 hours per week). has been sponsored by the Agency during June-December 1987. She will have completed 27 credits of mathematics by,mid-December. 2. The Statistical Analysis Staff, CPAS is responsible for performing statistical reviews of all DI, NIC, STIC, and TTIC accuracy, consistency, and soundness of methodology. STAT a GS-09 statistician, is a member of the NIC Support Branch t at performs statistical reviews of highly technical STAT products from OSWR, OGI, and SOVA. With greater knowledge and know-how in these subjects, I will be able to better understand concepts and methodologies presented in the extremely mathematical and scientific papers published by several offices in the DI (for example, OSWR and SOVA). Math 442 Operations Research, Part II This course is a survey of probabilistic methods for solving real- world decision problems with emphasis on modeling and will enable me to better grasp the interrelationship of variables in the modeling that the DI engages in. History 329 Modern Russia in the Soviet Union This course describes the current political realities in the Soviet Union and will enable me to better understand and review the numerous intelligence assessments produced by SOVA and LDA on the USSR.
