accuracy, consistency, and soundness of methodology.
STAT a GS-09 statistician, is a member of the NIC Support
Branch t at performs statistical reviews of highly technical
STAT products from OSWR, OGI, and SOVA. The courses that

attachment). Upon completion of these courses, will
convert to full time status and the Agency will gain the Lull
benefit of her potential and skills in one of our crucial areas.
The long-term return to the Agency for this investment in this
talented individual far outweighs the cost involved.

Spring Courses
Math 305 Discrete Mathematical Structures
Math 319 Introduction to Applied Mathematics, Part II
These courses will cover higher order differentiation;
integrals and series; complex analysis; special functions; and
mathematical topics. With greater knowledge and know-how in
these subjects, I will be able to better understand concepts
and methodologies presented in the extremely mathematical and
scientific papers published by several offices in the DI (for
example, OSWR and SOVA).
Math 442 Operations Research, Part II
This course is a survey of probabilistic methods for
solving real- world decision problems with emphasis on modeling
and will enable me to better grasp the interrelationship of
variables in the modeling that the DI engages in.
History 329 Modern Russia in the Soviet Union
This course describes the current political realities in
the Soviet Union and will enable me to better understand and
review the numerous intelligence assessments produced by SOVA
