ADW'7TSTRATIVE - INTERNAL USE ONLY Approved For Releas 2002/05/07 : CIA-RDP89-01114R0001 Q4P10131-0 DD/S 64-4358 14 AUG19'64 MEMORANDUM FOR: Director of Personnel SUBJECT : Former Peace Corps Personnel REFERENCE : Memo dtd 23 Jul 64 to DDCI fr D/Pers, same subject 1. Please note the restriction on the employment of former Peace Corps personnel which the DD/P has established on the routing slip which is attached to the referenced memorandum. I believe that an important restric- tion of this type should be a part of the basic memorandum in order that it not be overlooked at some future date. 2. The restriction that the wife of an employee (in this case a JOT) who is a former Peace Corps volunteer will never be considered for contract employment at the husband's post of duty may have a bearing on whether or not the JOT wishes to come with us, especially if he is to be assigned to the Clandestine Services or the DD/S. If this restriction is approved by the DDCI, I believe that employees, such as the JOT applicant, who are considering mar- riage to a former Peace Corps volunteer should be advised at an early date. Therefore, if you agree with the restriction now noted on the routing slip, it is requested that you obtain the concurrence or comments of the Director of Train- ing and that the memorandum to the DDCI be rewritten to incorporate this restriction with the other provisions contained in the memorandum.
