I have been informed that is no longer interested
in an assignment with the Agency. decision is disappointing
because his professional credentials are so impressive. Let me assure you,
however, that the withdrawal of his candidacy does not affect our strong sup-
port for the Executive Exchange Program which provides many tangible benefits
to the federal service and the private sector.
Thank you for your continued interest in the Agency. Although we could
not participate in this year's exchange, I certainly hope we will be able to
do so next year.
