MEMORANDUM FOR-WILLIAM J. CASEY
DIRECTOR
CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE AGENCY
FROM: JAMES A. BAKER, III
CHIEF OF STAFF
SUBJECT: President's Corumf"ssion on Executive Exchange
E.~=uth a aag
83-0,057/1
I am sure that you are well aware of-the President's, goal to improve
relations between the private sector and government. Nowhere has this
spirit of cooperation been more forcefully demonstrated than at the
President's Commission on Executive Exchange. Over the past twenty
months there has been a total change of environment and a dramatic
upgrading of executive assignments, both in the private sector and the
government.
The President has asked me to transmit the following regarding your
organization's participation in the Executive Exchange Program:
Host a business executive within your organization.
The most effective utilization of this executive
would be on your immediate staff. Assignment for
this executive generally begins in September.
The Commission is continuing to fill selected key
positions as they become vacant during the year.
Candidates for such positions will have backgrounds
specifically tailored for your needs, and will serve
for one-year.
I have asked June G. Walker, Executive Director of the Commission, to
visit with you to discuss your Agency's participation. The President
strongly supports the Commission and its goals.
Please direct any comments to Mrs. Walker.
