1. The first meeting of the Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
Forum will be held on Thursday. 25 September 1986_ from 1300-1430 hours in
2. This meeting is being convened to discuss the draft memorandum
establishing the Forum, which was attached to the cited reference, and to
discuss generally the group's role in recommending and formulating policy
relative to SCI.

3. The Forum will assume certain responsibilities and functions
previously contained in the SECOM charter. Some actions still pending after
initiation under SECOM will be brought to resolution and conclusion by the
Forum. In this regard, attendees are requested to bring to this meeting their
agency's comments on the drafts of DCID 1/7 and DCID 1/19 (see SECOM D-135 and
SECOM-D-136 dated May 1986). Attendees are invited to be prepared to surface
any topics they wish to be considered by the Forum at future meetings.
4. Members or alternates planning to attend the meeting are requested to
provide full name, organization, and social security number to Mrs. Eleanor
McLauchlin, 351-2001, not later than 23 September 1986. Security access
