1. The Director of Security has revised the policy
previously enunciated in the reference regarding the subject
matter. Henceforth, the Group Chiefs, the Administrative
Officer and the Executive Officer will have the authority to
approve requests for external training costing up to $3,000.
External training costs in excess of 3,000 must be presented
to the Career Board.
2. In order to ensure that external training funds are
distributed equitably according to the needs of the Office, the
Chief, Security Education Staff will serve as the focal point
for determining needs and will tentatively allocate available
funds at the beginning of each fiscal year. In determining
each component's needs, C/SES will, of course, be guided by
specific input from the addressees.
