Factory Training of Customer Technicians to be Instructors, Lot II, Schedule II Equipment Reference: (a) Contract BC-2.04, as amended (b) Telecon 3 September 1957, BH to TLB (c) Letter dated 17 September 1957, SWB to TLB In accordance with your requests of references (b) and (c) we herewith submit our proposal for the factory training of two (2) Air Force personnel to be trained as instructors for equipments delivered under Schedule II of the reference (a) contract. It is proposed that the initial training of the personnel will be concerned with Configurations A-1, A-2 and B due to the fact that Configuration C will not be available for FOG until February or March of 1958. The training for Configurations A-1, A-2 and B. will be accomplished over an eight (8) week period. This initial training will be concerned with schedules similar to that of the previous training program at our factory for your seven (7) technicians. in the fall of 1956. It will include all phases of these configurations, associated ground. support equipment, field main- tenance techniques and related subjects. Instruction will be conducted eight (8) hours per day, five (5) days per week, Monday through Friday. There will be a series of lecture classes, however, most of the instruction will be given at our Maintenance and Overhaul facility. This Depot level type of instruction will expose the trainees to complete .operation. and maintenance techniques. for these equipments. It is planned that a single instructor will be assigned for the complete duration of this training schedule. In addition, it is planned that project engineers, prod- uction personnel,. design engineers and field service engineers will be utilized to give the trainees the most complete subject coverage. They will be furnished schematic drawings, blueprints, charts and miscellaneous training material during the course of the program. Training aids which were developed. during the previous training program will used. The eight (8) week training program for the two (2) customer technicians will be performed for a total amount of $6,075.00. We understand that T/.Sgt. Carrol M. Butler and S/Sgt. Dan Bullock will be provided from Air Training Command for this special training. We will appreciate your sending to our attention pertinent information regarding the technical background and qualifications of these men. We trust that this, proposal meets with your approval and recommend that a contract item covering this training program be established on Schedule .II of the reference (a) contract.
