SUBJECT . Concurrence in Amendment No. 1 to Contract
No. SP-1920 with Lockheed Aircraft Corpora-
tion, Project CHALICE
1. This memorandum contains a recommendation sub-
mitted for approval of the Deputy Director (Plans). Such
recommendation is contained in Paragraph 5-
2. Contract No. SP-1920 covers modification, as neces-
sary, of Government-owned U-2 aircraft and installation of
J-75-P2 engines. Also, the contract covers related spares,
GHE and a Lockheed Aircraft crew for initial training at each
Detachment.
3. This Amendment reflects the final redetermined price
of $1,423,000 for performance of this contract. The attached
Memo for the Record (DPD-1+287-60) sets forth the details of
the settlement meeting.
4. Amendment No. 1 results in a net decrease of
$219,500.00 which should be liquidated from CHALICE FY 1959
funds. By concurrence to this memorandum, the Comptroller
signifies that funds have been adjusted as provided above.
