This asaaraadha contains recommendations submitted for approval of the Director of Central Intelligence. Such recoa- asndations are set forth in Paragraph 5. 2. Contract No. BC-450 provides for codification, repair and overhaul of photographic equipment and related ground support equipmmnt developed and being produced by the subject contractor and the Penc~ia,~lmer Corporation for Project AQUATONS and the Department of the Air Force under separate contracts between the Agency and theme fires. 3. The definitive contract is a time-and-material type providing for performance of work and services on a fiscal year term basis. The contract provides authority for the contractor to expend an amount not to exceed $150,000; however, additional funds will be obligated under the contract from time to time as repair and overhaul requirements can be determined from project and Air Force operations. The sum of $150,000 is being obligated from Fiscal Year 1957 AQUATON funds at this time. At such time as Air Force equipment will require servicing by the contractor sufficient funds already made available to the Agency by the Department of the Air Force will also be obligated under the contract. 4. Based on prospective requirements for the contractor's services during Fiscal Years 1957 and 1958, it is considered necessary that a sum of $600,000 be made available for expenditure under Contract No. BC-450 for Project An authorization document is attached hereto for the s gnu ure of the Director of C~ntrai Intelligence. 5.
