4. Effects on mission.
(a) Aircraft maintenance and supply excellent.
(b Communications adequate.
(c Photographic equipment excellent. (Results of 9j inch unknown).
(d) Cloud cover undercast prevented a completely successful mission,
(e Navigation and flight planning was excellent.
(f) Flight planning excellent. Pilot results are partially attribu-
table to outstanding flight planning data furnished the pilot.
(g) Flight following excellent.
(h) Normal photo reconnaissance and mapping tactics.
(i) Three flameouts during this mission were found to be caused by
a faulty pressure relief regulator. It was found that as the
results of descending to lower altitudes during the flameout
condition a condensation of moisture in the camera bay can
ruin film results and also fog up the viewfinder. Suggested
remedial action will be to, place a small heater-blower fan in
the camera equipment bay to prevent or greatly reduce this 7--s - 14 3 4'3 4-
