MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD
SUBJECT: HSC Country Briefings
Boos, and I discussed some problems
that we mig .ace in providing briefings on two
countries which Boos had named. Boos suggested as
an alternative that we might provide a half dozen
other countries which would have sufficient CIA
action in them and be of sufficient current nature
so that Committee members would not require in
.depth briefings as a prerequisite to their full
understanding of the intelligence activity going
on there. Boos did not want Chile on the list.
We agreed to provide a list for his consideration.
Boos made it clear that this did not forclose the
possibility that the Committee might require
briefings on the two countries originally on the
list.
