SUBJECT: Telephone Call from Adm. Stansfield Turner,
22 February 1982
Former DCI Stansfield Turner called this afternoon to
relay a message he had received from of the
American Hoist and Derrick Company located, I think. in
St. Paul, Minnesota. His telephone number is
who is known to Adm. Turner, says his company is
in possession of a technique to deposit materials (like
titanium) on various kinds of surfaces in a vacuum.

this type. He further says that there is only one other
U.S. company that has a similar capability and that they
are licensed by the Adm. Turner asks if we would
