TITLE OF PROPOSAL
Kits to be installed on IRAQ at contractor's facility.
1. Replace all wires within the engine compartment (aft of FS 365) with
MIL-C-25038_typewireo, except-for-the fire detection and D.C. generator
wires which are satisfactory and will remain unchanged..
.2.. Prepare.and issue Service Bulletin 128. .
3. Fabricate kits for S.B. 428 for all Articles.
NATURE OF PROPOSAL:

REASON FOR PROPOSAL
1.. This is item C, para. 9 of the list 'of improvement items included in
"FM IRAN Program" dated Aug. 1959.
2. Past history indicates that engine heat is causing deterioration of some
wire insulation in the engine compartment.
NOTE: This ECP would standardize all ships with respect to Hi Temp. wire.
Some ships had the intent of this RCP performed at Laughlin APB and
other ships have had the intent of this ECP performed by S.B. 403
(See ECP LAC-33)?
